Hello, I am Emma
I am a project manager. A parent. An expat residing in Springfield, United States.
Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to United States wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many overseas transfers, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial few months were challenging — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Quartz Beta Quiet
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday-family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United States.
What This Website Represents (And What It Does Not)
This site is:
- Practical insights from living in United States
- Centered on family life and daily real-life experiences
- Updated only when meaningful changes occur
This site ISN'T:
- An official tourism resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- A broad travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in United States continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep noting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Springfield or anywhere in United States, please feel free to contact me.
Best regards,
Emma
